Uzumaki Naruto cosplay

Naruto Uzumaki is the main character of the Naruto series, which is named after him. Despite he acquired only a Genin rank in Konoha, he was trained personally by legendary Jiraiya, later mastered sage arts and have enormous power of Demon Fox within therefore he is one of the village's most powerful ninjas.He is only child of forth Hokage, a member of Team Kakashi, and the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.

The word "Naruto" can mean "maelstrom", and is also the name for a wafer of kamaboko with a pink whirlpool design in the middle that is used as a topping for ramen, which is Naruto's favorite food.

Naruto is the only child of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and Kushina Uzumaki. Before his birth, they had decided to name him after the main character in Jiraiya's first book, wishing that their son become ninja like the character was. Soon after Naruto's birth, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked Konoha. To save the village, Minato fought and sacrificed his life by sealing demon within Naruto. Minato believed that his son would someday be able to use its daemonic power. What happened to Naruto's mother is not known. Naruto was left to grow up knowing nothing of his parents, receiving only his mother's last name. Before Minato died, he asked that the villagers of Konoha view Naruto as a hero who had helped to stop the Nine-Tails. Few did, however others openly resenting him for containing the monster , some even believed Naruto is Demon Fox himself. Because of this situation, the Third Hokage decided, that nobody will know about Naruto reletionships with Fourth and enacted ,that nobody should ever speak of the Nine-Tails sealed within Naruto. He hoped ,that new generation of children would not loath him , so Naruto will be able to have normal life. However attitude of adults eventually passed to their children.

Because of the preconception and loneliness he experienced during his childhood, Naruto desire acknowledgment. As a child In order to achieve this, Naruto played pranks all around the village. His dream is to become a Hokage, so every villager will have to accept him. When Naruto made more and more connections with others, his reasons for title of Hokage underwent a change, as he desired recognition less, and more want to be strong for people close to him and to protect his home. Naruto's lax personality and impassioned desire for self-improvement have deep impact to lives of those around him. Kakashi described this as Naruto's "strange power," as he seems to change the world views of everyone he meets, and inspires courage within them. Naruto was able to redeem Zabuza, and make Neji abandon his view of destiny and unavoidable fate, inspire courage in Sakura, and Hinata, convince Tsunade to come out of seclusion, change Gaara from the dark demon into one of his closest friends, change Sasuke's decision to kill him , and even earn the trust of Nagato, the leader of Akatsuki.

Naruto is hyperactive, typically dissolute, easily excitable, impulsive, and suffers from little attention . Naruto is the type who doesn't think much before acting. According to Kakashi, Naruto is a type, who learns through his body. Naruto is quite naive, being slow to understand a jutsu's principles, and often requiring a simplification of an already dumbed-down analogy in order to comprehend what is being explained to him. This assumes he is able to keep his attention long enough, as he usually seeks chance to change the subject and outwardly insisting that he already gets the concept, because he is too proud to admit ,that he don't understand. Though he retains confidence in himself , loudly declaring, that he will master whatever technique he is learning in a fragment of the usual time, Naruto will not hesitate to ask for help if he needs it.

He is also very impudent and rarely pays comity to formality or social standards. He almost exclusively eats ramen, and is a frequent customer at the Ichiraku Ramen restaurant. He has only refused ramen on one occasion: when Jiraiya died. He also smiles near-constantly, which during his childhood, was to mask the sadness of his lonely life. However, when the situation asks for it, when someone close to him is in danger, Naruto can be very serious, and will instantly try to come to help.

Naruto views his teamate Sasuke, as a brother he never had, and throughout Part II strives to bring him back to Konoha, despite his voluntarious defection from the village. With Sakura, Naruto had a long-standing crush on her, and will do all in his power to make her happy, even if it is at the expense of his own happiness. Partly becuse of this reason, he can't break promise, he made to Sakura, that he will bring Sasuke home. After talking with his father, and the loss of his mentor Jiraiya and talking to his killer, Nagato, Naruto came to understand the downside of revenge, and desired to stop Sasuke from it even more. Furthermore, after learning from Madara the reason of his hatred , he truly understands Sasuke now and he wants to save him not just because of the promise, but for also to himself.

As the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, both Naruto's mind and body are occasionally influenced by it. The Nine-Tails' chakra usually comes to Naruto during life-threatening or other stressful situations.  Though Nine-Tails' near-limitless supply of chakra is useful, expanding the extensity of his other abilities, Naruto cannot handle too much of the Nine-Tails' influence. The anger is a trigger for the transformation. As he draws upon additional amounts of the Nine-Tails' chakra, Naruto's body is covered in chakra cloak, which protects him and "tails" are produced. From the fourth tail onwards he is reduced to animal instincts, no longer being able to differentiate between friend and foe.

The reason Naruto is able to access Nine-Tails chakra is because of the unique way in which it was sealed. Naruto's normal chakra level is considered extremely high, partially because of the Nine-Tails. Even without directly drawing upon it, a small amount of the Nine-Tails' chakra is always mixed with his own. Ebisu implied that Naruto's poor chakra control came from this, as a portion of his chakra is used to reject the Nine-Tails' overwhelming chakra. This is probably also reason of his poor academy results. What chakra that does not get suppressed by Naruto's body is assimilated by his chakra, making Naruto's usual chakra capacity unusually high. As such, he is naturally suited to jutsu that use a large amount of chakra, such as his signature jutsu, Shadow Clone Technique. While most ninja are only capable of creating a few clones safely, due to the jutsu's hazard of equally dividing the user's chakra among the clones, Naruto is able to create hundreds while maintaining a decent supply of chakra in each one.

As stated by Jiraiya, Naruto bears a striking resemblance to his father. Naruto possesses similar blue eyes and spiky blonde hair; however, the actual shape of his eyes resemble his mother's. Naruto is regularly seen with an upbeat and eager persona, always eager for something such as learning a new technique or a hot bowl of ramen. A trait regularly mentioned, that easily angered him, was his short stature for his age. During Part II, he had a significant growth spurt that was noticeable to all, as first mentioned by Sakura, who stated he was now much taller than her.

Naruto has a number of childish traits. His pajamas always include a comical black nightcap with eyes and teeth, and he keeps his money in a chubby, green-frog wallet he affectionately calls "Gama-chan."

As the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, both Naruto's mind and body are occasionally influenced by it. Physically, Naruto has some of the fox's characteristics, such as whisker-like marks on his cheeks and larger than normal canines, which become enhanced further during his transformations.

In Part I, Naruto's outfit consisted of a orange jacket that had some blue on the upper shoulders area and had a white swirl with a tassle on the left side, a red swirl on the back, and a big white collar. He also wore orange pants, blue sandals, and a blue forehead protector that was given to him by Iruka.

In Part II, Naruto's outfit undergoes modification after being worn to shreds during his training with Jiraiya. The outfit retains the orange color, but the jacket is much more form fitting and the upper shoulders area is now black in color, which still has a white swirl on the left side, but with no tassle, and a red swirl on the back. The forehead protector has also changed, with Naruto moving the metal portion to a new longer black bandana and he wears black sandals instead of blue.
